As a former University Council member and currently Senior Advisor to the President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as well as Special Advisor to the Dean of School of Business, I am proud to continue my contributions to this esteemed University as the inaugural Chairman of the HKUST Foundation. Since its founding in 1991, HKUST has made remarkable progress, evolving into a distinguished university recognized globally for its unwavering commitment to talent development, innovation, and meaningful societal contributions.

The HKUST Foundation, established by the University Council in March 2024, is dedicated to raising essential funds to support the sustainable development of our institution. It aims to promote HKUST's mission and values to the wider community, helping to secure the support needed for the University to remain a world-class leader in teaching and learning, research and societal impact.
